NCB advises customers about fraudulent email

The Management of National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited wishes to advise the public of the following fraudulent activity:

We understand that an email requesting customers to “update” sensitive account information has been circulated to some of our customers. NCB, along with the relevant authorities, has investigated the matter and in the interest of your online privacy and security which is of paramount importance to us, please be reminded of the following:

  NCB will NEVER send an e-mail requesting your personal account information.

  To be assured that you are accessing the correct website:

  • Always access our Internet Banking service through our corporate website (www.jncb.com).
  • Ensure that the browser’s address/title bar has the “https” prefix and the appropriate security indicator (usually a closed padlock) is displayed in your browser’s status bar.

Please continue to practice safe and smart internet banking on every site that contains your personal and sensitive information (e.g. credit card numbers, addresses, social security numbers, government assigned IDs, etc.)

If you believe you have received and/or acted upon a suspicious e-mail, please call 1-888-NCB-FIRST (1-888-622-3477) immediately.
