Lovebird cardholders get more LOVE from NCB

11 Apr 2012

NCB re-launches its popular Lovebird Keycard this month to the heightened anticipation of cardholders. Now boasting new and enhanced features targeted at the consumers who desire more bang for their buck, the bank promises a new way of engaging its customers through an interactive campaign to promote their revamped rewards package. Dubbed "Follow the Bird", the campaign will offer new and existing cardholders more opportunities to earn rewards for faster free travel. Customers can look forward to points that last longer, the option to travel to any Air Jamaica/Caribbean Airlines destination and - perhaps the most anticipated sweetener -  the ability to transfer rewards to anyone they choose, among other benefits. "This is a very exciting campaign for us at NCB," exuded Claudette Rodriguez, Assistant General Manager, Cards Services. "We took the time to listen and respond to what our customers and the wider market said they need from their credit card and developed a plan to reach out to them in a way that we have never done before. This has resulted in a superior package that is already a winner among our existing base," she continued. Rodriquez noted, "The ability to share your rewards with friends and family has become an early favourite followed closely by the extension of the lifetime of the points earned to four years." Other major upgrades include the ability to Top-Up points to earn travel faster and numerous opportunities to earn bonus points throughout the lifetime of the product. The Keycard brand, which celebrates its 31st year as Jamaica's first and only proprietary credit card this month, continues to be a point of pride for the number one bank making the launch of the new rewards package a timely one.  When asked about their recent trend of issuing "Thank You" incentives to customers and non-customers, NCB General Manager, Marketing communications and Service Delivery,  Sheree Martin had this to say, "Certainly, this a time of reflection for us. We have enjoyed 175 years of serving Jamaicans and the role of our loyal customers is not lost on us. Coupled by the heightened nationalism and pride of Jamaica's 50th Anniversary of Independence, we can't think of a more appropriate time to express our appreciation to the people who have kept our doors open for nearly two centuries." Martin was referring to the recent announcement of the NCB "Brawta" cash award being offered to both buyers and sellers of their personal motor vehicles; though unlike Brawta, the Lovebird rewards are not a limited time offer.   Lovebird Keycard continues to enjoy an affinity with the Jamaican consumer as "the way to pay in JA"™; this position is no doubt bolstered by its nationwide acceptance made possible by the banks Point of Sale machine being the preferred instrument among merchants and SMEs.   "This is only the beginning. Customers can look forward to the roll out of more rewards and enhancements as we continually assess and improve upon the product," stated Rodriquez.
