A little under 200 of the National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB) longest serving employees were recognized for their contribution to the Bank at their Long Service Awards Cocktail at Terra Nova Hotel recently. Employees of 10-40 years of service were honoured and feted in a retro 70's style setting as they were taken down memory lane under the theme 'Celebrating Milestones'.   The audience was captivated by memories from the 70's 80's and early 90's. Hostesses were dressed in NCB uniforms from the early 90's, the MC's wowed the audience in their 70's- styled outfits and dances whilst recruitment pictures of awardees were displayed throughout the event much to the delight of the audience. A special presentation of framed art pieces was made to the 35 years - 40 years awardees which not only delighted the audience but made the awardees emotional. "My forty (40) years spent with NCB has been rewarding. Having started in the role of typist/clerk in 1970, the organisation gave me the opportunity to grow with it and I have benefited immensely, evolving to my current management role.  The knowledge gained has allowed me to contribute to the transformation processes and I remain committed to ensuring that the organisation enjoys continued success," stated the longest serving employee at the cocktail, Angela Spencer, Banking Operations Manager. Patrick Hylton, Group Managing Director saluted the 197 Long Service Awardees on their tenure of service with the organisation. "NCB is fortunate to have dedicated, tenacious, adaptable, and spirited staff members who cumulatively this year gave 3,285 years of service. This is why I always look forward to and enjoy functions such as the Long Service Awards where we celebrate our people, their contributions and their accomplishments."   Rickert Allen, Snr. General Manager, Group Human Resources Division expressed that "This Long Service Awards reflects NCB's recognition of the workforce as its most important asset and underscores our commitment to recognizing employees for their significant contribution and excellent service to the Company."   In presenting, NCB's Chairman Michael Lee-Chin highlighted the organisations ability to not only weather the challenges, but to consistently emerge stronger, more resilient and a better organization.
