"Over the years, we have forged a lasting partnership with our Pensioners Association. We recognize you as a valued stakeholder and keeping you abreast of developments within the organization is one of our primary objectives," expressed Barbara Cohen, Relief Branch Manager, NCB New Kingston Branch. Recently, National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB) hosted its first in a series of Bank on the Go training sessions and exposed approximately 30 of its Pensioners to the technologies available at the newly retrofitted self service areas. Aimed at educating customers about the benefits and utility of Banking on the Go, the session provided hands-on training, allowing participants to directly experience the usefulness and convenience of Banking on the Go. Speaking at the session, Stuart Reid, Assistant General Manager, Retail Banking Division recognized the Pensioners for their invaluable contributions. "NCB has been instrumental in changing the pace of banking in the Jamaican landscape, offering best in class services to all stakeholders and making banking services more convenient and more accessible. The evolution of banking in Jamaica started with us, and today we are proud to continue this pioneering legacy, which you have so ably propelled," Reid said to the Pensioners. He continued, "We trust that this session will help to foster further understanding about our alternative banking solutions and that you will leave here today, fully aware of the flexibility, security and convenience that 'Bank on the Go' offers." NCB Bank on the Go self service areas allow customers to save money and time when conducting routine banking transactions within the secure environs of the bank. Launched initially in the New Kingston branch in November, 2013, the facility is currently accessible at the University, Portmore, Duke Street, Oxford Place, St. James Street and Bay West branches and is outfitted with Multifunction/Intelligent ABMs, Banking Kiosks and Express Cheque Deposit Boxes. Roll-out to all branches is scheduled for completion by September, 2014.
