As a standard business practice, the National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB) conducts periodic reviews of its operations in processes and this includes fees and charges. Effective Monday, June 23rd, 2014, NCB will introduce a fee for "In-Branch Transfers to Third Party Accounts". This fee will be charged where customers either visit or send a request to the branch to effect a transfer of funds from their personal account to a third party's personal account. The following charges will apply: (or its equivalent) Currency Fee GCT Total JMD - 250.00 41.25 291.25 USD - 2.98 0.49 3.47 CAN - 3.20 0.53 3.73 Currently customers can avail of online Banking free of charge, however, transfer requests totaling more than $110,000 will not attract a charge given that the retail internet banking online limit for third party transfer is $110,000 per day. As NCB advances its plan to transform the way it provides services, aiming to improve and revolutionize customers' Banking experience and operational efficiency, the Bank has introduced the newly reconfigured and aptly titled "Bank on the Go'. This promises the ultimate customer experience, combining the security, ease and convenience offering customers with Banking Options. The Bank on the Go self service areas are: New Kingston, UWI, Portmore, Duke Street, Oxford Place, Baywest and St James Street. All are equipped with Intelligent ABMs, Banking Kiosks and Express Deposit boxes facilitating direct cash and cheque deposits, third party transfers and bill payment among other routine transactions. We continue to encourage customers to make smarter banking choices by utilizing alternative channels as a means of avoiding these fees and long lines in banking halls.
