NCB Sunshine Series 2010 Shoots Off

National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB) and the Jamaica Netball Association (JNA) officially launched on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 the NCB Sunshine Series 2010 at a press conference held at the NCB Wellness & Recreation Centre. The Bank in its continued commitment to the development of sports and the ongoing advancement of netball in Jamaica contributed $2,000,000.00 towards the staging of the NCB Sunshine Series. At the Launch Mrs. Belinda Williams, NCB's Corporate Communications Manager, elaborated on the value of the partnership and stated "NCB has a long history of supporting sports which has tremendous nation building impact. We believe that the NCB Sunshine Series is a great fit as it gives us the privilege to be a part of a world class competition as well as provides us with the opportunity to witness the growth and development of netball and Jamaica's Sunshine Girls." The NCB Sunshine Series will be staged at the National Indoor Sports Centre where the Sunshine Girls will play England on September 1 & 3, 2010. The spectator competition begins at 6:30p.m on both days. Patrons will also have the opportunity to win great prizes. The games will also include pre-game activities which will give 3 lucky patrons, wearing yellow, the opportunity to win cash prizes by shooting the most hoops during a shoot-off. "NCB has been a wonderful partner and integral to the growth and success of the Series and indeed the Sunshine Girls so far. As we prepare for our third NCB Sunshine Series in a couple of weeks, we are delighted to have NCB's support," said Mrs. Marva Bernard, President of the Jamaica Netball Association. NCB is proud of all that has been achieved in the Series over the past years and guarantees Jamaicans that the NCB Sunshine Series will give them two-days of intense, first-rate netball. Netball fans are encouraged to come out and show support for our Sunshine Girls by wearing yellow at what is guaranteed to be an exciting two-day Series!
