Shareholders of National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB) have been presented with an opportunity to join in an initiative that has far reaching benefits, arising from the distribution of the NCB 2010 Annual Report on compact disc (CD) form ahead of their February 24, 2011 Annual General Meeting. The move is in line with the organisation's thrust for continued efficiency in addition to being responsive to stakeholders' demands. NCB Group Managing Director Patrick Hylton in support of this novel initiative said, "Our role as a responsible corporate citizen allows us to assess and respond to environmental as well as stakeholders" needs and we pride ourselves in being able to make sound and relevant business decisions that resound in the best interest of all parties."  He explained further that the distribution of the 2010 Annual Report in the multimedia format was presented to the shareholders outlining the options they can exercise for receiving the information being: CD Booklet Email ;stating also the impact of reduction in paper use, cost of transportation and postage as well as the need for less space for storage. Already some shareholders have been responding to the initiative and Twitter is buzzing in support of NCB being environmentally friendly. Shareholder Glynne Manley shared her views "Congrats to those that decided to send out NCB Annual Reports on a disc. How 21st century. Love it. Save the trees! - GM." To ensure convenience, all shareholders were sent by post printed Notice of the Annual General Meeting as well as the form of Proxy. Printed copies of the 2010 Annual Report will be made available at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.
