Unfortunately, fraudsters are trying to take advantage of times like this. Please be extra careful and aware. Here are some reminders to help you protect yourself:

  • NCB will never ask you for your personal information like your PIN, the 3-digit security code at the back of your credit card or credit card access codes via email or phone. If you receive an email or a phone call requesting this information, please delete the email and ignore the call.
  • Beware of urgent or threatening language in the subject line. Subject lines such as “Account has been suspended” or your account had an “Unauthorized login attempt” are common phishing emails.
  •  Pay attention to the grammar and spelling in the emails you receive, especially if the email doesn’t address you by name.

If it sounds suspicious, it is probably is. Fraudsters can “spoof” a phone number so that a call or message looks like it is coming from legitimate business. Never call a number that is left in a message that is not our number below.
