ProCare provides you with financial benefits while you are alive to help maintain your quality of life and independence after the onset of critical illness.
Critical Illness Benefit PROCARE provides a lump sum settlement of up to $5 million upon the first diagnosis for any of the following conditions:
This benefit can help ease the financial burden by paying off debt or where necessary, to alter your home to facilitate medical upgrades e.g. a wheelchair ramp. The lump sum is based on the coverage purchased on the Policy Date – the Basic Sum insured. The minimum coverage that an individual may receive is $1,000,000.
A one-time benefit, to a maximum of $7,000 will be paid if an ambulance is used at the time of first diagnosis of the covered critical condition.
A death benefit is paid if/when the insured dies without receiving critical illness benefit. The death benefit is 100% of basic premiums.
In the absence of a claim, at the expiry date of the policy the life insured is paid a “No Claim” benefit, which is 100% of basic premiums.
All premiums are payable in Jamaican dollars and can be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. The premiums are based on coverage selected, age and gender of the life insured.
Policy owners must be at least 18 years on their last birthday while the life insured must be between 18-60 years.
