Sales performers are diamonds reaping millions

National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB) regards its people as its greatest asset; and in support of this, has a strong rewards and recognition programme, designed to consistently identify and reward performers and their model attributes. Recently, NCB hosted its inaugural Group Sales Convention, where the sales team across the organisation came together for the first time for a kick off session aimed at energizing and setting the tone for the new financial year. "We could not let this opportunity pass without announcing the winners of our Diamond Club awards," said Patrick Hylton, NCB's Group Managing Director in addressing over 420 staff members. The elite Diamond Club celebrates excellence by recognizing and rewarding persons across the Group, who consistently meet and exceed sales performance standards. "It is satisfying to know that we are providing the tools, so combined with their own personal attributes and drive - they can achieve anything they set their minds to. Our aspirations are bold but our top performers prove that anything we have conceived can be achieved, once we put our minds to it."Twenty eight persons were inducted into the elite Club. This year's top three awardees, however, were surprised with a prize of $1 million each. They were acknowledged and paraded among their peers at the Convention and an Employee General Meeting, as well as feted at a private luncheon with Hylton and other senior executives. The top three awardees are: Retail Banking's Miguel Thompson, NCB Capital Markets' Michelle Garrison and NCB Insurance Company's Melione Hanson. In their acceptance of the award and sharing tips for success, they had this to say:- "Two years ago while attending an NCB Pinnacle Awards, where the top sales persons were being recognised and rewarded, I decided to set a goal for myself - that I wanted to be the top sales person for NCB" shared Miguel Thompson, Business Banker - Oxford Place. "It was a commitment that I kept at the forefront of my mind as I made the necessary adjustments personally to achieve my professional goal. At the end of the period, I determined that if my strongest competitor was going to meet her targets, I needed to exceed mine by 150%." Michelle Garrison, Wealth Advisor at NCB's Half-Way-Tree location said that, "I'm happy that NCB embraces the concept of team building because it means a lot to me that I can align my success with the performance of Jamaica's top bank." While she attributes her success to her team, she believes that her clients are the persons who have instrumentally invested in her success; "I appreciate the confidence you have in me, your wealth advisor." Mandeville's effervescent Melione Hanson expressed her joy at this achievement: "I love what I do and it is a humbling experience being acknowledged and rewarded in this way," expressed Hanson. "I sow my seeds and I change lives every day by introducing them to a product that someone needs. I don't take this award for granted, so much that I'm already working hard to get it again next year." The other Diamond Club awardees are: Shakerah Edwards, Vincent Leslie, Kareen Baker, Maria Beyna, Tania Watson, Stacy McGregor-Hall, Antonette Cowan Palmer, Dyan Grey, Norvia Duffus, Ashion Hodges, Naseica Alexander, Natalie Christie-Davis, Danielle Reece, Patria Coke, Tanecia Gordon-McPherson, Rochelle Wellington, Anesha Lackrage, Kerrian Murray, Rohan Ramsay, Ceola Ross, Faylin Shaw, Melalee King, Khadene King, Kenesha Purrier, Kerrian
