What it Takes to be a Great CEO: The RevUp Way

Kingston, Jamaica, September 7, 2023 — RevUP Caribbean is no ordinary incubator. It is a dynamic programme designed to reshape the future of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the region.
Operating as a hub that equips entrepreneurs with resources; it is designed to enhance their leadership skills, marketing expertise, strategic acumen, and readiness for investment, ultimately facilitating the development of thriving businesses.
The current cohort’s five-month journey culminated in a Founders retreat that unraveled the secrets of “What it take to be a great CEO?”. The retreat’s highlight was a keenly contested elevator pitch competition that allowed the entrepreneurs to showcase their new learnings.
In addition, each had the privilege of engaging with a dynamic team of experts from the globally recognised management consulting firm McKinsey & Company.
The transformational retreat was made possible, in part, by the National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB) - a supporter of the programme for the last three years. NCB's contribution of 75% of the cost of programme for each participant underscores its commitment to nurturing a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem throughout the Caribbean.
