NCB CSEC National Bursary Programme   

Since 2003, N.C.B. Foundation, the philanthropic arm of National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCBJ), has sponsored select Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) subjects for eligible Jamaican students in public and private schools. To date, the Foundation has invested over J$240 million, benefiting more than 109,000 student entries.


The programme works in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information subsidy to ensure that qualifying students can sit the approved examinations at no cost to them and to have the opportunity to meet the minimum subject requirement for admission into tertiary level institutions or advance in the world of work. 


REVISION OF PROGRAMME

The NCB CSEC National Bursary Programme has shifted its focus and will pay exam fees for the following subjects based on the criteria below:


APPROVED SUBJECTS (CSEC)


  • Information Technology
  • Principles of Business
  • Principles of Accounts


SCHOOL ELIGIBILITY

All public and private institutions island wide with a sit rate of 90% or higher in each of the approved subject areas for the prior academic year (2024/25) as per data from Overseas Examination Commission (OEC).


STUDENT ELIGIBILITY:

CRITERIA

Information Technology

Regular students with average of 70% or higher

PATH/Students in Need/Wards of the State with average of 50% or higher.

APPLICATION DETAILS FOR THE 2025/26 PROGRAMME
  • All applications must be submitted online application forms via this website as no hard copy submissions or soft copy submissions via email will be accepted. 
  • School Administrators should have the requisite information on hand ahead of beginning the application process which includes:

     1) School name, address, email address, contact number and the requisite contact person(s). 


     2) Information on each student being put forward for the respective bursaries as outlined below: 

          a. First and last names, telephone numbers and email addresses for each beneficiary. 

               i. Contact numbers and email addresses are to be provided for each student and not a shared school email address.



APPLICATION FORMS

Submissions will be accepted between Friday, November 7, 2025 to Friday, November 21, 2025, at midnight. No late submissions will be accepted.  


IMPORTANT TO NOTE

All institutions with successful submissions will receive a confirmation email with details of their final subsidy commitment by Friday, November 28, 2025.


A copy of this email must be submitted to the Overseas Examination Commission (OEC) as part of an institution’s final CSEC examination submission for the 2025/26 academic year.
